A brighter future is in your hands. We currently have a full time position available for an Purchasing Agent who will partner with our estimating team and project management team to ensure that all materials and equipment needed for site development projects are acquired according to Company guidelines.

  

What you'll do:

 

Purchasing Agents are also responsible for safeguarding all Company assets and:

  • Negotiating and procuring plant material for multiple jobs in multiple locations
  • Ensuring that all materials are acquired at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need
  • Interviewing vendors, analyzing quotes, recommending resources and scheduling deliveries
  • Obtaining delivery certifications and reviewing materials received against orders placed
  • Verifying and approving invoices for orders placed
  • Developing and maintaining necessary records and files
  • Demonstrating role model behaviors on ethics and integrity as well as positively promoting Company culture
  • Working with Landscape Architects to tag plant material
  • Nursery management of ValleyCrest owned plant material

Skills we're seeking:

  • 2 years procurement experience in landscaping, construction or related industry
  • Horticulture knowledge/experience is a plus
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Strong work ethic
  • Customer service experience
  • Prefer Bachelors degree
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
