    A brighter future is in your hands.  We’re currently seeking a General Manager.  The GM is responsible for profitable growth and the roll-up of the P&L of assigned branches in the market as a business unit averaging $30-$50 million in annual revenue.  The primary role is to provide leadership and build branch capabilities while cultivating relationships with key strategic customers in the market.  They are accountable to deliver the market budget and plan.

     

    What you'll do:

    • Ensure Branches understand and execute strategy that enhances the brand and drives profitable revenue growth in the Market
    • Ensure alignment and accountability between the Area, Branches and Corporate
    • Manage Market P&L, budget, plan and performance
    • Effectively communicate and drive organizational change
    • Cultivate strong internal and external customer focus by delivering the Brightview brand promise, culture and values
    • Provide leadership and support to the Branches with respect to employee engagement, safety, compliance, talent selection and development
    • Build innovation  and efficiencies in Branch capabilities, utilizing BrightView operational excellence tools
    • Guarantee resources, (tools, talent and equipment), are effectively allocated and deployed across assigned branches 
    • Ensure strong multi-layered relationships with top 10 customers (intense customer focus)

    • Sales funnel

    Key Process Ownership & Decision Rights

    • Business Planning for assigned branches 
    • Performance Management of branch managers
    • Talent Management (partner with HR)
    • Customer Management (partner with Sales VP)
    • New Sales (partner with Sales VP)
    • Contract Relationship Management (partner with Legal & Finance)
    • Equipment Management (partner with Equipment Manager)
    • Snow Management (partner with Snow Manager)

    Skills we're seeking: 

    • Significant experience leading in a matrix environment in a distributed services delivery environment 
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of skills and experience required
    • 7+ years experience leading a market or area of a service business that included P&L responsibility
    • Experience leading geographically disbursed teams
    • Demonstrated success with business growth orientation 
    • Proven success rapidly building rapport with customers and team members
    • Excellent communication skills (written, spoken, listening, presenting)
